1For I want you to know ahow great a bstruggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face,

15“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. jWould that you were either cold or hot! 16So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 kFor you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, lblind, and naked. 18I counsel you mto buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and nwhite garments so that you may clothe yourself and othe shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, pso that you may see.
